After crossing the Atlantic, the ship arrived at Ponta Delgada in the Azores. We stayed a week. The highlight was when the students discovered that they could rent Austin Minis with little more than a library card. It resembled a demolition derby as the students explored the island in these tiny cars.

We also entertained some local visitors including a lot of school children.
