In 1974 the Oceanics School ran a program aboard the schooner Yankee Clipper, charted from Windjammer Cruises, a Miami company with a fleet of sailing ships. From October 1974 the ship sailed from Tortola in the British West Indies with the program ending in Cartagena, Colombia in April 1975.
Ports visited included islands in the BWI, Philipsburg (Sint Maarten), Basse-Terre (Guadeloupe), St George’s (Grenada), Willemstad (Curacao), Cartagena (Colombia), Bilbao (Panama) and Puerto Limon (Costa Rica).
The program included over 40 students, 11 faculty and nine crew.
